Some Marin and Mommy Time

So Marin has had a bit of trouble adjusting the past couple of days. She's had great Daddy time over the past week but I think she started to pick up on the fact that I wasn't around so much. Have I mentioned nursing a newborn takes a lot of time??? So we've had some whiney, clingy moments. So yesterday, Marin and I had a special little outing. We went to the library to read some books and do some of the puzzles there....a free, yet good snow day kinda thing to do. But Marin was more interested in practicing her new walking. She walked up and down every single aisle in the library. She would look at a couple of books every once and a while but walking was the best! She would go to the end and then peek around the shelf and say "Boo" and then laugh, laugh, laugh. It was so cute!!! But we both needed that little time together.

 And Marin has become such a big helper unloading the dishwasher! She hands me the silverware (one by one) and I put it in the drawer. She loves it. Laughs and laughs!!

One Week Old

Miss Hollis Adelaide turned a week old yesterday!

She loves to snuggle! And she is doing great at nursing although she is a SLOW eater....probably because she likes to snuggle. :o) She definitely takes her time and enjoys each drop. She has just started nursing every 3 hours-ish instead of every 2 hours. She doesn't really notice or mind big sister's giggles and pat pat pats. She just sleeps right through them. Although, she may have woke up today when Marin wanted to share her pop tart with her. Yum. Overall we are all adjusting and loving our new little addition!

We got to go home a day early from the hospital. YAY!! It was good to be home! Hollis is a great baby....great eater and doodling all the right colors. :o) I forgot how much a newborn nurses! Whoa!  But she is trying to get on a little "schedule" and we are loving being home together as a family.

Hollis had some long fingernails and unfortunately she got a few scratches.

Here are few videos of when Marin and Hollis met for the first time. Sweet and funny! Marin is doing such a great job adjusting to baby sister. Although I do think it is sinking in that she is actually staying with us and doesn't belong in the toy box. :o)
