Busting Out

So Marin is quickly growing out of her newborn outfits. Here is an example...

No, she is not pulling it up even though it looks like she is, the little rebel. But it's too small now. Even her socks are too small. Unbelievable. But don't you love that belly!

So, instead of starting our 2 week old on Weight Watchers, we have upgraded to her 3 month clothing. Here she is modeling....she's got some room to grow but at least she isn't squished into it.

Luckily, our Once Upon A Child store (the best children's consignment store) was having a big sale...clothes for $1!!! So we got her a few 3-6 mths outfits to get her through the cold months. We just weren't expecting her to grow so fast!

A Visit From Mimi

Mimi came and visited Marin this week! We all loved having her here!

Meeting for the first time....

We also went for Marin's 2 week doctor's appointment. She has once again gained weight and grown. She is 10 lbs and 21 inches long now!

2 Weeks!

Here is a list of things we have learned about Marin in the last 2 weeks:
1. She is a sloppy eater. See milk picture below.
2. She likes to doodle a lot...especially while she's eating and right after we have changed her diaper. And they are LOUD!
3. When she is sleepy, you could throw her in a tornado and she will not wake up.
4. She's hiding acorns in her cheeks.
5. She likes to party at 5:30 am.
6. She does not like to be dirty. If there is one drop in her diaper, she will let you know. Her hiney is too precious to be in anything gross.
7. She likes her arms up when she sleeps. See picture below. And she prefers to be on her side but we don't let her do that.
8. She likes her boppy pillow and tummy time. She can tolerate her swing and bouncy seat but they aren't her favorite.
9. Grunting is her main form of communication right now. She saves the crying for special occasions.
10. She is very, very LOVED.

2010 in Pictures

A little late but here is a picture review of our 2010! It was a busy and exciting year for us with lots of wonderful changes!

January 2010- We celebrated the new year in Nova Scotia. Brrrrr!

February 2010- Burke completed his first marathon in Austin, TX!

March 2010- We went to Frankfurt, Germany for spring break!

April 2010- We went to Cabo San Lucas for Easter break.

May 2010- We found our new home in Chicago, IL!

June 2010- We became husband and wife on June 26th!

July 2010- Our first Chicago Fourth of July at Navy Pier!

August 2010- We had our first baby shower and pregnancy photographs taken in Huntsville, AL!

September 2010- I joined Burke on a little work trip to Fargo, ND and Minnesota!

October 2010- Our big, orange $1.99 pumpkins that the squirrels ate!

November 2010- Our Christmas date and eagerly awaiting Marin!

December 2010- A little late but we welcomed Marin Jordan Brednich to our family on December 27th! The best way to end the year!

2010, you were good to us! We look forward to a happy, healthy 2011!

Marin is such a great baby! She is really getting on a little schedule quiet nicely. Burke and I are worried that she will turn on us any minute now because she's almost too good. But she sure is CUTE!

She is LOVED!
