"It's Scary" and a little Halloween!!!

Whenever I would pull out the vacuum cleaner, Marin and Hollis would both start crying saying "It's scary! It's scary!" But one night we were vacuuming (one of craft projects...oopsie) and the girls wanted to actually have a turn. They loved it. Loved. It.  Each one had to have multiple turns and then once it was all over they each had to have several turns pulling the cord and watching it fly back into place. Burke and I both agree...we liked it better when they were afraid of it. Now, a 5 minute job is a 50 minute job. :o)
Vacuuming instead of going to bed.
Clever stall method, Marin.

She had to have the dress over her PJs.

And I put out a few Halloween decorations. Love Halloween. And Thanksgiving. And Christmas. Such a fun, fun time of year.

Marin the Photographer

Marin loves taking pictures these days. She has specific things/people she wants to photograph and then just like her dad, she takes 800 shots of the same thing. :o) But she is so very proud looking back at all 400 shots of her shoes. Some of her recent "work"....
Her Little People all seated for the show.
I'm sure it was Yo Gabba Gabba on the pretend television , Betsy.

I'm always an easy target.
It's like she is getting payback for the zillion pictures I have taken of her.

And her feet.
Really, I think she was aiming for her shoes but I am glad she got her little piggies!

Some Park Time

We went to the park yesterday and I played around with my camera. We had lots of fun and I went completely overboard with all the pictures. :o)

FALL!

Because I love the season....

here's our little fall mantel with a little Hollis eyeball. Pumpkin muffins are next.

Bb is for Butterfly

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar this week for Bb week and did this little sock puppet retelling. Here is a video of Marin telling the story (out of order and missing one day thanks to Hollis). My favorite is at the very end when she says "more" and I ask if she wants to do it again...her response..."uh. no." Cracks me up every single time.
