Pinky the Dog

So we ran into Tuesday Morning the other day so I could look for some stacking cups for Marin. We didn't find any cups but we did find a white stuffed animal dog with pink ears. For whatever reason, Marin loved it. So as we walked around the store, Marin held it in the cart with her. Every once and while Burke would make it "bark" and Marin would just laugh, laugh, laugh.

We were getting ready to leave and this is the conversation we had....

Burke: "Should we get this dog for Marin?"
Stacey: "She has a lot of stuff animals already that she doesn't play with...so maybe not."
Burke:  He held up Pinky the Dog and heard Marin's BIG LAUGH and said "We are getting it."

Yep, she has him wrapped around her finger. :o) But I will say, she loves that dog. She will laugh every time we pull it out. Then she will drag it around the carpet all the time. So very funny.

Here is a little video of her love for Pinky the Dog.

Making Her Daddy Proud

Today Marin joined a gym! We went today for a free trial and it was so much fun. They had tons of mats and "games" for all the babies to climb, crawl, and walk on. Plus they did flips and balancing activities. Marin had a BLAST. They even had a "separation" time when parents had to sit back and let their kids play independently. We were a bit worried about this time because, well, she is a bit attached at times. HA! She didn't even know we existed. There were too many toys and new kids to play with...we were easily replaced.
We are thinking this is going to be a great little thing for the Beluga when winter rolls around and our park days are over. Speaking of the park, we go every day and she absolutely loves it. Her latest love is the slide. She slides down and then walks up. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Videos to come. It is precious. And by the time we get home, eat dinner, and do bath, the girl can barely keep her eyes open. She is really going to miss it once the cold arrives.

But here she is at her new gym...

Swinging on the ladder...not one bit scared.

Sorry it is blurry...she was rocking back and forth.

She loved the ball pit until she wanted to crawl and couldn't quite figure that out....

ZOO!

We took Marin to the zoo last weekend and was so very impressed. I loved it (probably more than anyone else). It was huge and clean and the animals were actually out even with the heat. The best part about our zoo is that it is FREE!! So when we got through a fourth of it and Marin was ready for a nap, we just hopped in our car and left. We didn't have to wrestle with her just so we could finish because it costs an arm and a leg. We will definitely go back because it was a really great zoo!!!

Marin ready to see some animals.
And now a few of the animals.....

You can't really see very well but this a momma monkey carrying her baby around. They were so cute.
And the other monkeys really put on a show swinging around in the cage.

We spent a lot of time with the monkeys.

Loved it!

We went with our friends the Allens. Here Marin is getting some
extra attention from the other monkeys.

Good bye hugs from her friend Aubrey.

12 Weeks

We had our first trimester screening on Friday and Baby On the Way looks GREAT! Heart rate was a strong 163 this time and we will get blood test results later this week but expect all to be well.

Sorry for the blurry picture but our scanner isn't working.

And we don't have a porch for the porch pooch but here is the beginning of
the belly shots.

This video is just so funny to me because of Burke's conversation with Marin. He makes me laugh. He was trying to get her to "walk" back over to him. But she found him just as entertaining as I did.
