Four Month Old!

At 4 months old, Marin....
  • wants to put everything in her mouth
  • laughs at Peek-A-Boo
  • loves playing with her toes...and chewing on them
  • can almost sit up by herself
  • loves to bounce and rock herself
  • likes sitting in the stroller without her car seat
  • reaches for EVERYTHING you have in your hands or is near by her
  • is great at pulling my hair
  • is great at grabbing and holding her toys
  • LOVES playing and reading
  • loves to stand up!
  • likes talking to herself in her mirror during tummy time
  • naps about 3 times a day
  • has been congested for most of this month of her life :o(((
  • will take her passy in and out of her mouth
  • drools, drools, drools
  • is wearing 9 month clothing and weighs (by our scale) almost 18lbs! Off the charts for weight....
  • is still a 100% breastfed baby but solids may be coming soon...
  • her mommy and daddy are her best friends
  • talks A LOT
  • cries only when she needs something....hungry, sleepy, needs to be changed, etc...very rarely does she cry just to cry. In other words, a very happy baby.
  • has rolled over once all by herself
  • knows what the camera is....she will smile big for you. And even this morning, we were recording a video of her and she cried when we stopped. Turned it back on...and all smiles. Little ham.

Movin' and Groovin'

Playing with her toes....a new favorite chew toy.
If we would have let her put them in her mouth for the picture, she would have.

Look at those beautiful leg rolls!
Love them!

Our Big Girl

Marin got to take a nap in our bed the other day. I snuck in to check on her and found her like this.
We laughed! She is quite comfortable.

And we pulled out the high chair for Marin to sit in when we eat dinner.
We can't believe she is big enough for it!

She loved it!
She played with her puzzle the whole time we had lunch.

Working so hard to get the rooster!

More Easter morning....

So cute! She wore her matching bloomers but we put pants on her
when we got home. Of course, it's a little chilly here. :o(

She's with her daddy....happy, happy baby.

So we found an Easter bunny ( a pink, creepy one) at O'Donovan's for Easter brunch.

The Easter Bunny Visited Marin!

The Easter Bunny was so nice to Marin on her first Easter! (Warning: Lots of pictures ahead.)

Her first Easter basket!
The Easter Bunny brought her a puzzle, books, finger puppets, some "spring" outfits...

I like the Easter Bunny.

Checking it all out!

Some new spoons!
Big girl food will be coming in a couple of months....but our neighbor let her

little girl "practice" with breast milk on a spoon. So we thought we
may copy that idea. Marin is very aware of what we are eating so we thought she could
pretend to be a eating with us with her big girl spoons.

"I like these puppets. How can I get them in my mouth?"

Yummy....

Marin got The Nose Book, The Foot Book, and The Ear Book by Dr. Seuss.
I think the Easter Bunny found a great
buy one get one free sale at
Books A Million.  :o)
She'll read it after she tastes it.

She was able to get all four finger puppets off my hand in seconds! And then...

Into her mouth went the piggie!

Her elephant outfit.
The Easter Bunny had to bring her some more pants because she
has outgrown her others and Spring weather is never coming to Chicago.

This is FUN!!

Hola! Some new music for changing table time...
of course, it tastes better than it sounds.

And the puzzle wrapper is the most fun!

"Look Dad! This make a funny noise."

Her new farm puzzle!

We've learned a lot of songs about farm animals from story time at the library.

" I like this thing...but again, how do I get into my mouth?"

I got it...yum.

"There's more books???"
Yay!

She even tasted the ribbon.

The rooster puzzle piece was the tastiest!

Easter 2011

We couldn't find an Easter bunny anywhere to get a picture for Marin's first Easter...
so here is the next best thing!

And now for our Easter goodies this year...

Our Easter cake balls....I am no Bakerella...
but they were fun!

Mommy's little helper. She loved the wrapper to the white chocolate bark.
And then some Easter Rice Krispy Treats. The blog I stole this idea from stuck a popsicle stick
in the bottom and had lollipops.

I got lazy so I just added the bunny sprinkles on the rest of the pan. :o)

And now our little Easter decorations...
Easter has a lot of fun colors! The eggs kept Marin occupied while Burke and I ate dinner.

My Dollar Tree Easter tree. :o)

Plastic eggs for future egg hunts!
