Hi Ho Let's Go to Hollis' Birthday Party!

We celebrated Hollis this past Saturday with her first "party"! She picked Jake and the Neverland Pirates as her party theme. We love Jake and...Peter Pan. The original plan was to have it at the park but it rained (of course) so we had to move it our house. It was a bit of a scramble coming up with games and such for all the kiddos to do but we survived and Hollis had a wonderful time!

The last minute decorations.

The girls set up the birthday table all by themselves. They were so excited.  We added a big Jake balloon the next morning.

So excited about her cake!!!

Filling the "yata".

Birthday girl!!!

So sweet!

Oh my goodness!
We have great, great friends that took pictures all day for us. One of them got this beauty! It's probably my favorite.

We had a photo booth set up. My friend let us borrow her polaroid camera to take pictures of all the dressed up pirates.
The "magic pictures" were a HUGE HIT! It was so fun watching each kid light up once their picture came through!

Balloon sword fighting!

Hitting hook with a cannonball.

Colton was our musical entertainment!
Khloe is Marin's sweet, sweet friend! We love her!

Getting ready for the treasure hunt....

Marin had been asking all morning when would the treasure hunt begin...you can tell you she is ready.

Reading the map....

At each stop, they had to do a little something to celebrate the birthday girl..

Here they did a cheer..."hip hip hooray! It's Hollis' special day!" She loved it and needed a special day just for her!

The treasure hunt hit every room downstairs. :o) ha!

The treasure chest pinata!

It was one of those pinata where you pull the string to have it all fall. Burke wouldn't have gone for helping out if  it involved swinging a bat and blindfolded children.

We had two Jake board games set up for kids to play. These two had no interest in the pinata...yet.

Finally!! Ring Pops and Gold Pirate Coins!!

Hollis was very proud of her Jake cake. Thank you Kroger bakery for helping this non baker out. :o)

the party favors...

Happy Birthday sweet Hollis! We lvoe you so very much!!

Hollis turns 3!!

Hollis turned three years old this Monday! Unbelievable.  She is such a precious, sweet, smart, and unpredictable little girl! She makes us laugh so very much! We love you, Hollis! Happy Birthday!

Hollis will have her first friend party on Saturday. She wants a Jake and the Neverland Pirates party but she got a little family day on her actual birthday.
We had the table all set up for her and she woke me up at 6:45am ready for cakes and presents because it was her "birfday".
Marin and Daddy did such a good job picking out her birthday presents!

I snagged this $2 leftover clearance Valentine cake up in the bakery, I'm glad I did because she specifically asked for her cake and then instructed us to sing happy birthday to her. :o)
Loved HER little moment!

Then we went to Chuck E Cheese (because it's our new favorite place) for lunch and games. Hollis got Anna shoes from Marin so she had to wear her full outfit to celebrate. I think it was the coldest day in Houston yesterday but that outfit was GOING to happen. The Anna shoes are definitely a hit.
Had a ball!

Happy Birthday, Hollis! Can't wait to celebrate with you on Saturday! We love you!

Valentines 2015

We had Valentine parties out the wazoodle this year. Sheesh. And doing valentines for two kids for three different exchanges....well, it was a lot of valentines. But the girls loved it!! They are officially addicted to candy though. Hollis has stashes hidden in her bed and I may have caught her once or twice hiding behind a pillow to eat her 37th heart sucker. ;o) I'm surprised they haven't gone into some kind of sugar coma.
Marin's heart she drew for the festivities.

Valentine Exchange #1: Dance Class

Valentine Exchange #2: Sparkle School.

Valentine Exchange #3: Church Friend Party.
I actually did the church party for the kids...and I think I had my first Pinterest success! Woohoo!
But the Sweetheart Snatcher stole their treats and they had to go on a scavenger hunt to find it. This is what they found at the end of the clues.

Ready for the little valentines!

They had stations that they rotated around and completed. I told my teacher friend that I had forgotten how quickly kids can move through stations! Yikes!! The party could have been over in 15 minutes. But here they are making heart hats!

Heart Workout...stand on a heart and do the exercise written on it.

Stack it! They rolled a dice and stacked the correct number of candy hearts.

We ended our Valentine's day with dinner out (Momma was a bit tired). But it was a fun week filled with love, friends, family, and lots and lots of sugar!
