Rooty Tooty's New 'Do

Marin is so very hot natured and the summer heat is just too much for her. So we decided to give her a short little summer haircut to cool her off. I think she looks so stinkin' adorable. Of course Rooty Tooty wouldn't let me get her picture so here are the zillion and one outtakes. You can at least get the idea.

With a mouthful of grapes.

This face just makes me laugh.

Hollis had to sneak into the post. :o)
She is  RT2 (Rooty Tooty 2).
Marin is RT1.
Guess who came up with those nicknames that have stuck??

Such a STINK!

But a cute stink.

Seriously, look how big she looks in this bouncy seat.
She is going to need to hurry up and learn how to sit up by herself because
she is running out of room in this thing.
Cute baby! SQUEEZE!!!

She has the cutest hair bows that she wears but today we went with the clip.
Burke still hates the bows but I love them!

Stealing my water....

Pretty darn proud of herself...

Smooshed face.
And ready for a nap. :o)

Hollis- 4 Months Old

Baby Hollis, you are 4 months old today! It is going by so quickly. So lately you.....

  • talk ALL. THE. TIME. Well, actually you squawk(sp?). Talking and squawking all the time.
  • love, love, love your Daddy. I mean, you LOOOOOVE him. He walks into the room and you can't help but stare at him and give him goo goo eyes.
  • are freakishly strong.
  • can roll from front to back and back to front. And once or twice I have caught you trying to push up and kick off with your feet. You may NOT in any way become mobile yet. :o)
  • want to sit up and will often try and pull yourself to sitting position.
  • enjoy your car seat now. Very helpful. Thank you.
  • take about 3-4 45 minute naps.
  • can take or leave your pacifier. Sometimes you want it and sometimes you hate it.
  • love music and singing.
  • could watch your sister all day.
  • has the biggest and best smile ever.
  • is losing your hair. Sorry baby girl. It will grow back though and you'll get pretty hair bows too.
  • wear 9 month clothing and weighs 19 lbs!
  • drool all the time!

You were squirming and moving all over the chair.
You little stinker.

It's been a while....

Here are some pictures from our days lately.
Marin is an Ipad queen.

Some sister time....

Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake

Hollis loves any and all attention she gets from Marin.

We got a special Steak and Shake lunch treat!

Trying out the exer-saucer....
our bald beauty!

Marin showed her how to operate everything and then she spinned her around and around.

Spin, spin, spin.

Sisterly Chat

I was messing around with my little camera, pushing buttons and getting confused, when I got these pictures. Apparently, I had pushed a button that made them black and white. Not sure really what I did but I am a little sad that aren't in color.

Just a sweet little face.
She's been sick this week so it was nice to see a little smile.

She saw Hollis on the floor and bent down like this and said "doydoydoy".

Hollis loved every second that she got big sister's attention.

Marin was done talking but...
Hollis wasn't.

The last of our May pictures....

So here are the last few pictures that were on the camera....

Memorial Day fun at the Allen's.
Sprinkler fun!

She kept going straight for it and we were afraid it may take an eye out.
Andy had to keep going in after her.
Burke was working so he missed out on this fun.

And she's back in there....

Can you believe this girl is big enough to sit in the high chair?!?!?

Loved it.

Sand box fun with Mason.

Five Little Ducks is Hollis' favorite song right now.
It's really cute how she will "sing" along sometimes.

Our little "song" box....Hollis LOVES it.
Marin likes the Monkey/Alligator song but is over all the rest of them. :o)

But Hollis and I have fun with our puppets and books and songs. :o)

Our craft project....
Last year, Burke and I found this easel in the alley to be thrown away. So we did a little dumpster diving and
saved it for future use. This last week we pulled it out, chopped off the legs, and painted magnetic paint on it. Now she has a BIG (not just a cookie sheet) magnetic board for her animals.

And because I wanted a picture of her chubby wubby little toes....

Seriously, I love the rolls.

Matching arm and leg rolls. :o)
