Texas Sunshine

Just a few more pictures from our time in Texas! The girls loved the warm sunshine. They played outside (in shorts and t-shirts) every day. While we were there, Burke sent me a picture of our street....it was covered in SNOW. So, needless to say, we enjoyed the weather.

Aunt Betsy has stairs at her house. :o)

She may have tasted some mulch.
Look at those legs.
She is really walking these days and I can see the rolls slowly disappearing. Tear.

She is getting 4 front top teeth. You can kinda see them here.
They have been painful little buggers.

She loved playing with Kate's doll house.

"playing" Candyland

Then we got to see Uncle Brig, Aunt Kelly, Caden, and Tabor! Brig and Caden stopped by before school and snapped a few quick pictures. :o)

My favorite.

Carson's Pirate Party

The girls and I got to go to Fort Worth for their cousin Carson's 4th birthday party. We had a BLAST. First, you have to know that I have two sister in laws that are extremely gifted in the birthday party department. Betsy is one of them. She made this party so fun, cute, and adorable!
Each pirate got a sword, eye patch, hat, and spy scope.
Cute, huh?
Look at these rice krispy pirate pops.
ADORABLE!

Hollis loved the picnic table.

The birthday boy!
Look at that cute pirate shirt.
(Hollis got a special Minnie Mouse 1 shirt from her Aunt Betsy.)

They were putting the sand in the pool for the treasure hunt.
The kids were mesmerized.

Marin was waiting for the water.

She got a pirate tattoo on her little hand for the party. :o)

Hollis trying out the pirate swords!

Now Marin's turn.
Marin wanted to be just like her big cousins.
It was so sweet how she would watch them to see what she was supposed to do with the swords.

This is my favorite picture of Kate and Carson.
They had just been in a pirate sword fight with their dad and well, he won. :o)

Pirate Kate
She was so sweet to Marin and Hollis.

It was funny because Kate is clearly an easier name to say than Carson but Marin would call for "Carsie" all day.
Even now, she will call out "Carsie, where are you?"
I love it. He was so sweet to the girls as well.

Walking the plank....

Betsy and Kate.
Betsy is so beautiful.
And Kate is cracking me up in this picture. I had taken quite a bit of pictures by this point.
Carson had already ran off and she was barely hanging in there for me. :o)

Some pirates walk the plank.
This (tired) pirate takes little rest....with her fruit snacks.

Treasure Hunt

Marin's version of an eye patch. ;o)
She may have had a cupcake too.

Marin loved this ball and bat!
We are so glad we got to go to the party! Happy Birthday Carson!!

End of January....

So we have been doing a lot of traveling lately but here are a few pictures from the end of January of these sweet girls of ours!
Hollis loves the sensory table. She does put everything in her mouth.

Lima beans but suppose to be "snow" in a winter-ish sensory table.

Reading her letters at the back of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
She is so funny with this magnifying glass.

And if Marin does it, you better believe that Hollis has to have a turn. :o)

Hollis LOVES climbing the stairs outside our door. I remember when Marin loved doing this.
Some of cold winter days, she gets to climb the stairs while Marin naps.

We were/are having some night sleep problems with Marin so we tried converting her crib to a toddler bed to see if it helped. It has helped. Still having problems but it is better with the toddler bed. But as you can see, Hollis is a big fan of the toddler bed.

Hollis got some new toddler markers as an early birthday present from our friend Lillian.

She was pretty excited to be at the "big girl" table to use them.

Loved it.
Then she ate them. :o)
Love those chubby little arms!

Climbing the slide....another favorite.
Loves to climb these days.

Playing grocery store with Dad.

Love this girl.
