Swimming Lessons

We love the park districts here in Chicago. They have really REALLY affordable classes for Marin. This Fall she is going to be a busy little girl with gymnastics on Mondays, swimming lessons on Tuesdays, Tot Play Group on Thursdays, and an arts and crafts class on Friday. They are only about 45 minutes to an hour long and gives us a chance to get out and play with other little kiddos. Today was her first swimming class. She loved it. It really was cute. They sang songs with the swimming lessons.
Getting used to the water and waiting for the teacher.

Practicing blowing bubbles like the fish.

Listening for fish....

Humpty Dumpty sat (or stood) on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Splash!

They each got a toy to throw and then practiced kicking to get it.

They were supposed to put the noodle under their arms and practice doing strokes with her arms.
She is still a bit to little for this one so she just played.

She floated on top of a crab during "free swim".

Practiced her kicks....

Scarecrow Mickey

Scarecrow Mickey is really becoming a best pal around our home.
I will try and get a video up her of her dancing with Mickey soon.
Playing doctor....

And believe it or not....Mickey needed his teeth brushed. :o)

Tickle Tickle

Marin is talking more and more this days. It's a lot of repeating everything we say. So fun. But one thing she has been saying for quite some time is "tickle tickle".  She will come up behind you and scratch your back while saying "tickle tickle" in this high pitch squeal of a voice. Hilarious.

Take a look....

Sorry the video is sideways!?!?!?

Fall

It is starting to feel like fall around here and I am loving it! Here are some pictures from the week....
She seriously couldn't get any cuter!

Our fall mantel. Eh. It will probably change a million more times before I like it.

Mickey Scarecrow may not make it through the season.
Both girls LOVE him.
He plays ball, slides, rides bikes, and he makes a great teether.
I will take what I can get.
Love this girl.

Again....this little one can't get any cuter.

She had to take this picture of herself.

Cooler temps means....footy pajamas!

This are our favorite.
She is so snuggly in them.

So very ready to be up crawling on her knees.

I love this picture.
Shows how lucky I am.....

This picture makes me laugh.
She is showing me her baby doll on her bike. She pushed baby around the house.
So. Very. Proud.
But she wouldn't open her eyes. :o)

Cuteness.
One of Hollis' favorite teethers is my chin.
Cracks me up.
I wipe large amounts of sweet drool off my face every 10 minutes.

It has to be documented that Marin has a small (or HUGE) obsession with
brushing her teeth. She has always loved it. But we got her an electrical toothbrush.
Oh. My. Goodness.
I promise she brushes her teeth no less than 12 times a day.

Obsessed.

Our 7 Month Old...Hollis Adelaide!

Our baby turned 7 months old today. She is way too cute! These days Hollis....
  • loves her sister and all the attention she can get from her.
  • loves to eat Baby Mum Mums and puffs. Not a huge fan of baby food but she will eat a few bites. Still loves Momma's milk more.
  • is starting to crawl. Oh my!
  • sits up like a champ in the bath tub with Marin. They are really cute together splashing water!
  • talks and squawks.
  • will stare you down until she gets your attention and then she will smile ALL OVER.
  • has the most precious smile ever.
  • sleeping....really no schedule whatsoever. Well, morning and afternoon naps are a definite. But she really needs an early evening nap as well but there is way too much excitement going on then to miss out on. So we are just a bit crabby. And night time, every night seems to be different. :o)
