Hollis loves singing Jesus Loves Me. It is her favorite. At night she will say, "More Jesus, Momma. More Jesus."

May Fun

So now that May is over....here are a few pictures from the month. Videos are coming.
Little Stinker.

We made a toilet paper flute and Marin was putting on a concert for Hollis.
She loved the flute.
I have a video of a concert.

Loves riding her trike with Hollis.

Bike Buddies.

Terrible picture, but last year we observed caterpillars/butterflies.
This year we got an ant farm. Creepy. But the tunnels are pretty cool.
(We also found a snail family in our garden. So we have made them a little habitat in a strawberry container. They are creepy and slimy but pretty neat to watch as well.

Marin has waited and waited and waited for a RED tomato and finally we got one red cherry tomato and...

She got to pick it!

 SHE WAS SO EXCITED!!!!
Since then, she has picked more tomatoes and some cucumbers. :o)

Spring Dance Recital: Let's Dance

Marin had her first dance recital this morning. She did such a great job.
She had a soccer game right before the recital and she was "a little bit shy" and didn't want to play at all. So we were a little nervous that once she saw all the people at the "dance show", she wouldn't want to  dance. But she did INCREDIBLE. Loved being in her special ballet outfit and loved doing her dance and listening to all the applause. It was really cute. They did their dance to the song "I Love Somebody".

So excited to get a flower for her big sister!

 Her big entrance. :o)

 The Young 3's Class
(Marin is on the second row, far left)

It looks like she is doing it wrong but actually she is the only one in her area that was doing it correctly.
The surprising part was that she didn't boss every one around and tell them to get on their stool like usual. :o)

TADA!

The sister hug!

So proud of herself!

Watching all the other dancers!

Trying to get a picture with the girls.
Hollis wanted a flower.
She got one...honestly she has done just as much work as Marin. And hers was done waiting and waiting and more waiting for all the classes/practices to be over. Kinda hard for a 2 year old.
So she got a rose too. She loved it!
She will get to do a little 2 year old class in the fall (maybe).

The family! The girls were happy, I promise.

She would NOT look at the camera.

Dance is over for the summer. (Not going to lie...a bit excited about that!) They will start back up in the fall. Looks like we may be doing another year of it. But swimming lessons next. Wrap up soccer in a few weeks. Then NOTHING for the summer but lazy pool days! :o)

SOCCER

Marin had her first soccer game today. She did her best to keep up with a bunch of aggressive boys but she was definitely a cautious player. ;o) She was so cute. I found out later from the assistant coach that she played every quarter except for the last couple of minutes of the last one. Honestly, I had NO idea they even were keeping time/quarters?!?!? So...go Marin! She did stand out there a few times watching instead of actually doing anything. But, hey, Burke and I were just proud she didn't cry any (That happened a lot with teammates....). And out little buddy Graham stood out there and starting singing Itsy Bitsy Spider. Oh my word. It was so hilarious. Man, he is cute. But they all did super and I think they will enjoy it more and more as they play!

Soccer companies apparently don' tmake socks/shin guards/cleats for  REALLY REALLY small people.
Bless her...she played as best as she could with what she had.
We did find some "gear" that may fit her better for the next game. We will have to see if she will wear it or not though. ;o)

She calls her jersey her "soccer dress".

#8!
She really wanted the number 5. Talked about it at home before we left so when her Aunt Carolyn sent a picture of her big boy cousins in their soccer jersey proudly wearing the #8 as well....it made us all HAPPY!!
I love that they all have the same number. Sweet, Sweet!

Her team...The Spiders.

It's her turn to do the drill.

Go Graham, go!

The cheering section.

It's kinda funny that they have the exact same expression on their face.
And Hollis only stole the cone 3 times.

Go Marin!
