Happy Valentine's Day

Marin wore her "Christmas" dress for Valentine's Day cards since she missed Christmas this year...the little stinker! But we are off to LA for a little Valentine's week vacation. We have had all the snow and cold we can take and need a break from it!

The outtakes....

February Marin....

Marin is growing so fast and is so AdOrAbLe!! We love her so much!

She...
-loves music! Burke made up a song to the tune of BINGO..."There was a daddy had a baby and Marin was her name oh M-A-R-I-N..." I sing it to her and add Mommy, MayeMaye, Mimi, Pop, etc. The song can go on forever and ever but she loves it.
-loves books. She will sit in my lap in the rocking chair and listen to the stories until she falls asleep.
-will snuggle snuggle so sweetly!
-has found her hand and loves to put it in her mouth.
-is becoming more and more alert everyday...soaking in this big world as much as she can.
-loves looking at black and white pictures. We got her a new mobile and books with the bold pictures and she loves them!
-loves the butt pat and the digital picture frame in the living room.
-loves to doodle. Seriously, this girl doodles ALL. DAY. LONG.
-loves her Mommy. Right now she is a momma's girl but I know there is NO WAY this will last for long so I am soaking up every minute I can! (I would love to think that it is because I'm this super fun mommy but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I am breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And she loves to eat.)
-loves to bury her head in between your arm and chest.
-will grab my shirt and look up at me the whole time I'm feeding her like she is making sure I'm not going anywhere...did I mention she likes to eat. And, she is a big 13.1 lbs at 7 wks.
-will communicate clearly when she is tired or hungry.

She took a nap in her crib. She looks so tiny in it.

That hand tastes yummy!

A little diva...

Checking out her new mobile...

Her next door neighbor friend, Emily, came over to squeal and ooh and goo with her while us mom's had a recipe swap.

The shirt grab...

Not the best picture but it's the beginning of the nose bury...

Super Bowl Party

We had a couple of our friends over for a super bowl party Sunday night. They each have a little girl...Aubrey is a year old and Emily is 5 months old. So we had a pretty entertaining soundtrack to the game. Marin was a little social butterfly. She oohed and gooed and talked to Aubrey and Emily. It was a great night!

First...Marin wore her new outfit from the Solomon's! Thanks Mark, Wynetta, and Shiloh!

Andy and Nori will be welcoming a new little one in August! Aubrey is here practicing being a big sister! She did such a good job "holding" Marin (even though Marin is pretty much her same size...seriously, they almost weigh the same amount). So cute!

Snow Blizzard

So here is the video Burke took from our window....

Untitled from Stacey Brednich on Vimeo.

In Chicago, after you dig your car out of the snow, people put chairs in their spot so they don't lose it. We had patio chairs all down our street. It took Burke an hour to dig our car out of the snow. Brrrrr!

Blizzard!

So we had a bit of a snow blizzard here the past couple of days. Burke got a video of it but I can't get it to work for some reason. I will keep working on it. But here is a picture of Burke trying to find the sidewalk.

This is what Marin did through most of the storm. Love her little hands in this picture...

Her smile is adorable and makes you want to eat those cheeks!

A little sneaky look....she's probably doodling...

LOOOOOoooooOOOOOves to snuggle! Little chunky monkey!

Here is a video of Marin talking about the blizzard. Sorry it is so dark. It was early in the morning, but she was chatty and I had to try and get a video of it!

Marin still "ooohs" but now she "goos" too. Of course, we think its adorable!
