Petting Zoo

This week we have BEAUTIFUL Chicago fall weather and we plan on taking full advantage of it!! Today....the petting zoo!
Blurry but you can see those two teeth!

She got to wear one of her many Halloween outfits and her headband! :o)

So stinkin' cute!!!

At the petting farm section of the zoo.
Side note: Marin said "Ma ma ma ma ma" today!

Feeding the cows some hay.

A very big rabbit

Cute little chicks....

Our cute little chick...

Our family weighs the same as two sheep.

Marin got to push the animal buttons and hear the animal sounds! Very cute!

The tornado!

Beautiful fall Chicago day!

We ended up walking around and seeing the rest of the zoo we missed the last time.
Big, big camels.

All the animals were enjoying the weather....

October Fun

Here are some of Marin's "activities" for October. :o)
1. Halloween Cheerios Book
2. Put the pumpkin in the witch pot (or just chew on the pumpkin)
3. I found these inflatable pumpkin and spider at the Dollar Tree for her little tent she has....now
she has a "haunted house".

Put her favorite is the pumpkin straws.
Marin loves to put objects in and out of containers, so I found some straws for her to play
with in a cup. Her favorite!

Again, in and out is her favorite new game.
I started putting her snacks in a muffin tin or her sorting cups (again another favorite).
She loves it!
So when this Halloween tray was in the dollar section at Target, I snatched it up for some festive snack times.
Yes, Marin has a dorky mom.
She got a Thanksgiving tray too. :o)

This is more fun than putting it back in the pot.

Sneaky little grin.....

Marin's Halloween pajamas!
I LOVE THEM!!!!

Relaxing a bit in her Halloween outfit before a trip to the petting zoo.....

Marin loves to take her socks off. Argh.
With winter around the corner, we have to try and get her to stop that habit or the girl will have pneumonia.
So today we tried a little pair of  tennis shoes. So cute.
She was really funny in them and she kept them on for a long time.
They didn't stay tied but on her feet....with her socks. Yay!

Savannah, GA

Burke had a long layover in Savannah, GA with work. The flight looked good, so Marin and I hopped on the plane for a little mini family trip. We had such a great trip. Savannah is wonderful and Burke and I are already wanting to return for a longer family vacation when our kiddos are older.
One little thing I do not want to forget, on our flight down Marin was a busy little bee. Checking out the other passengers, looking out the window, crawling all over the place UNTIL....Captain Brednich made his official pilot announcement. Marin froze, listened intently, and the the squealing excitement began. She most definitely recognized her Daddy's voice. So much fun to watch.
We are envisioning fun weather and two kiddos building sand castles one day.

Of course, we forgot sunglasses and hats since we haven't needed them much in our Chicago weather....
we simply forgot all about them.
So we picked up some cheap-o hats.

Burke Jr.

Marin's fake cry. She has a fake laugh too.
Both are absolutely hilarious.

Nap time in a restaurant chair.
Perfectly normal.

We spent more time than we wanted at this place because new baby was craving some seafood.
So I ordered.....

Uh, yea.
We were there for about 2 hours.
That meal was yummy but a lot of work.

A fun trolley ride down River Street with fun shops!

LOVE THAT FACE!!!

She is getting lotion-ed up. The Savannah heat did a number on her eczema
but I love her sweet little expression.

We love her so very much.

Having a little snack....

Love those cheeks!!
And Marin's favorite part of the trip.....the hotel air conditioner...
