Savannah, GA

Burke had a long layover in Savannah, GA with work. The flight looked good, so Marin and I hopped on the plane for a little mini family trip. We had such a great trip. Savannah is wonderful and Burke and I are already wanting to return for a longer family vacation when our kiddos are older.
One little thing I do not want to forget, on our flight down Marin was a busy little bee. Checking out the other passengers, looking out the window, crawling all over the place UNTIL....Captain Brednich made his official pilot announcement. Marin froze, listened intently, and the the squealing excitement began. She most definitely recognized her Daddy's voice. So much fun to watch.
We are envisioning fun weather and two kiddos building sand castles one day.

Of course, we forgot sunglasses and hats since we haven't needed them much in our Chicago weather....
we simply forgot all about them.
So we picked up some cheap-o hats.

Burke Jr.

Marin's fake cry. She has a fake laugh too.
Both are absolutely hilarious.

Nap time in a restaurant chair.
Perfectly normal.

We spent more time than we wanted at this place because new baby was craving some seafood.
So I ordered.....

Uh, yea.
We were there for about 2 hours.
That meal was yummy but a lot of work.

A fun trolley ride down River Street with fun shops!

LOVE THAT FACE!!!

She is getting lotion-ed up. The Savannah heat did a number on her eczema
but I love her sweet little expression.

We love her so very much.

Having a little snack....

Love those cheeks!!
And Marin's favorite part of the trip.....the hotel air conditioner...

Awwww. I love that she recognized the captain's voice! That is precious. Glad you all had a good time in Savannah. What a great place! (And now, thank you very much, you have made me have a SERIOUS seafood craving...and it's 6:30 in the morning!)
