Play Time

Ok family, here is an update with some pictures of the Beluga. We went to Wichita last weekend and I did a horrible job of taking ]]]]]       i l l-o=p- lo=          -==================================o'h [l llkk[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[;,,,,,,,k;===-pj-pjupojjp=-jlju7kn 0io\

Sorry for the interruption. Marin had something she needed to add to this post. Very important, of course. But I did a horrible job of taking pictures in Kansas....again. Argh. We had a great time and were very busy seeing and catching up with fun people! A big thanks to the Keller family for their wonderful hospitality! While we were there we did get some family/maternity/Marin photos taken. You can get a little sneak peak over at Sally Cavanaugh's blog here.

Here are some pictures of our growing girl playing....

Climbing into her laundry basket.
Better than her pulling all the folded clothes out of the basket
which is her normal game. :o)

"Oh, Mom has the camera. I need to get out of here to go play with that toy."

The escape.
Very serious face in the process.

And pouting because I wouldn't let her have the camera.
She is getting pretty good at some fits and she has learned a new word....
"No, no, no."
Fun times. :o)

Patiently waiting for her Daddy to watch her play with her farm puzzle.

We get mostly side profiles these days because she is just way too busy
to look at the camera.

She is so adorable and so much fun!

"Hey, give me that camera!"

We are excited about Thanksgiving (and the cute little Turkey dress Marin gets to wear :o) and then....CHRISTMAS decorating! I can't wait to see Marin's reaction to all the Christmas fun! But I will do better about putting pictures up weekly for you grandparents!

25 Weeks- Hollis Adelaide

It is hard to believe that I am getting so close to the third trimester. In fact, I was clueless until our last doctor's appointment and we heard our doc say, "We will meet in a month and this will be the last monthly check up. We switch to 2 weeks from then on." WHAT?!?!?!?! I still can't really believe it. But I am still feeling GREAT (thank you, Hollis!). Hollis is growing and growing and I feel her more and more every single day. She is a mover and shaker like her sister.
I do have to say that I have had a HUGE sweet tooth this pregnancy. And if you haven't tried the new Oreo Fudge Creme cookies, go get some now. They taste like Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies and I can pretty much eat the whole bag in one sitting. And....now I need a root canal. Yep, scheduled for next week. Ha! But they are delicious! Thank you sweet girl for being so good to your Mommy. We are getting closer and closer to meeting you and we all can't wait!

Some of our November so far....

Marin is helping me put up our Thanksgiving decorations.

She played with the corn forever!

She gets to stay in her pjs until after morning nap....so does Mommy. :o)

Having a little cereal snack...

TOUCHDOWN!
She has learned the ref signal for touchdown.
Also, a high five.
And she is learning how to blow a kiss. She just wants you to kiss her hand instead of her doing it. :o)

I have a little notebook that I make grocery lists, things to do lists, etc.
Every time I start to write in it, Marin remembers she needs to make a few notes.
Not only does she want the notebook but she wants the pen too.
She knows they are a pair.

She will move the pen around like she is writing.
It is really funny.

Lots of work to do....

And then she drags it around the house taking notes as she goes....

We had some really great luck at yard sales this summer. Really great luck.
We found this little slide at one and I think we paid maybe $2 for it.
So thankful we have it during these colder days with a little one that loves the park.
But she loves this thing. Not only is it a slide but it also a push toy.
She will walk and push it around and then climb up and slide down. The girl loves to CLIMB!

Halloween 2011

Getting ready to carve our pumpkin!

She actually loved touching the goo and seeds.

More goo on the inside....
Pick up a seed....

                                           Drop it on the floor...repeat.

Having a little taste of the pumpkin eye.

Our busy little BEE!
The costume is actually very appropriate for her little personality these days.
So very busy. :o)

She didn't like the hood until she got to hold a Butterfinger from the candy bowl.

Our completed pumpkin!
Take that squirrels!

Ready for some Halloween fun!
All of our neighbors are Orthodox Jews so Halloween....not celebrated. Neither is friendliness really. Ummmm.
Our street was D.E.A.D! Burke eventually yelled at a couple of kids walking (not trick or treating) and told them to come get some candy.

But a few blocks over, a little Korean Presbyterian church hosted a Halloween Carnival and it
was perfect for the Beluga.
She picked a duck and got a prize!

She had fun with this one.
Then we went to a little story time that was cute.

She went fishing and caught a fish full of fun surprises.

Waiting patiently for her balloon animal....

a dog!
It was a fun little night for our Bumble Bee. Happy 1st Halloween, Marin!

Some Daddy Time

Burke was getting directions to a place and Marin needed to be just like Daddy.

A big helper.

The light from the window is terrible.
Burke is whistling.
Marin has her eyes closed.
But I love, love, love this little moment. I looked up and Marin had crawled over
to sit right by her Daddy. So very sweet.
She loves that guy.

Then she wanted the camera....

Camera or no camera...
crawling back and forth on the couch is one of her favorite.

Peek a Boo, Daddy!
