Napping Girl

I went in to check on Marin during nap time and this is what I found....
All her blankets and Glow Worm are on the ground...and....
A little closer....
Look at those cute feet.
I promise she isn't stuck.

Sound asleep!

Silly Girls

First, sweet Hollis is finally making some changes and perhaps preparing for her grand entrance soon! Last week, I wasn't dilated AT ALL and the ultrasound showed her all snuggled up in there sucking her thumb. It appeared that we wouldn't be meeting her anytime soon. But today I am dilated 3cm and could possibly be induced next Thursday (if she doesn't come on her own before then). We are ready to meet this sweet baby girl!

And next....the big sister. She is so much fun! And a few photos...

She loves to get on our bed and play with my basket of "stuff".

Tums are her favorite.
Yep, that's 2 containers. I've had a bit of heartburn this pregnancy.

And she loves to climb up on her crib.
We are just thankful she hasn't tried to climb out of it.

She actually really loves her crib.

Burke was laying down and Marin needed some love from her Daddy.
So very sweet.

Big Sister Practice

We had a little baby play time today. It was so sweet and so funny watching her play with her baby doll.

Time for baby's bottle!

Sweet kisses

She likes to open and close the baby's eyes.
Hopefully Marin won't be quite as fascinated with baby sister's eyes.

More kisses!

Pat, pat, pat.
Marin is a big patter. She will pat my back every time I get her up
from bed/nap. It's so sweet.

Now it's Mom's turn.

A little Pat-a-Cake with baby

A nursing Mommy!
She thinks this is real funny!

Bear Hugs & Love Mix

Marin got to do her first "cooking activity" this morning. I have found so many cute little things on Pinterest for us to do. Although we have some time before Valentine's Day, baby sister can come any time now (if she wants....) so we are starting now just to make sure we have time to do some of them.

But I found the Love Mix idea using Cheerios, marshmallows, and Valentine M&Ms and thought it would be fun for Marin to scoop and stir. :o) We used Teddy Grahams instead of Cheerios for "bear hugs" (another stolen Pinterest idea).

We started out in the high chair but then moved to sitting on the table.
Here she is practicing.....

First goes the marshmallows.....

Then the Bear Hugs and a little stir, stir, stir....

She needed to do a little sampling....

And more sampling....

And more sampling.....

And now the M&Ms, so stir, stir, stir....

Almost done!
Stir, Marin, stir!

Bear Hugs & Love Mix complete!
She even got to eat it in a heart shaped foil tin. :o)

The funniest part about her snack was that she was completely ignoring the M&Ms.
I guess the color was throwing her off but she only ate the Teddy Grahams & marshmallows.
So I gave her a little taste of my M&M and from that moment on, she dug through her container
to find and eat ONLY the M&Ms. Made me laugh.

Our new 5 Books in 5 Days.....love and babies.

And we are going to read/watch Snuggle Puppy by Sandra Boynton on the Barnes and Noble website. ( I love this website. Its children's books read by the author.) But there is such a cute song that goes with this book.  She has a favorite puppy dog stuffed animal (Pinky) that we can sing and read it too! :o)

Cutie!

We read our books again this week but, of course, she still has her favorites. :o) She did like playing in the laundry and she even got to go on TWO walks with Daddy OUTSIDE. February has been a weird weather month here and we got a couple of warmer days. So they bundled up and enjoyed some fresh air while I bundled up and enjoyed and nice nap. ;o)

We read our Blue Hat, Green Hat book and then she played with the laundry.

"Look Daddy. I'm in your basket. "

So much fun!
