You'll find us at the pool.

The best thing about living in Texas is that it's actually hot enough to go to the pool. And that the pool actually feels great and NOT like ice cold arctic water. We go every.single.day. It's pretty fun. When Burke is home I ride the bike with the girls in the trailer and he runs along side us. We joke that he is like our secret service agent. Sadly, my normal to fast bike riding speed is an easy running pace for him. Seriously. But....the girls are getting quite the tan line. Yes, mom, I put sunscreen on them like crazy. I'm also that crazy mom that gets in the water and says "scoop scoop those arms....kick those feet...." obsessively. I'm a wee bit paranoid about drowning. But the girls are LOVING "playing in the wader". We have a stage 5 meltdown every time we leave but they have a blast while we are there!

I finally charged up our waterproof camera and brought it with us. Here is a little bit of what we've been doing this summer....
Showing off Minnie Mouse.

This little shark shovel/sprinkler thing is Hollis' favorite pool toy.

Marin doesn't quite like the kick boards or noodles in the big pool but she gives them a shot in the little pool.

Emptying the pool/Washing the concrete

What?!!?!

Its kinda of suiting that I am posting this on Father's Day because Marin didn't let Burke out of her sight. If she jumped in the pool it had to be to Daddy. :o)

He came home from a 3-day trip yesterday and I'm not joking...Marin HAD to talk to him for  at least 45 minutes straight. She gave him a tour of the house (in case he had forgotten) and showed him all of her art pieces she had completed.
She was very excited to have him home.

Sad that she can't do down the big water slide, she started "sliding" down Burke's legs. :o)
Hey, make lemonade, right?

I love this picture.
Just hanging out in the pool with Dad.
Seriously the best dad ever.
Our girls are pretty darn lucky.

The lifeguard did stop me on our way out of the pool to tell us that we had the cutest babies she had ever seen. And that she loved watching us come to the pool. :o)
Beaming mother. Beaming mother.

And since the camera is waterproof....a little underwater view of the rolls.
