Snow Day!

Well, a day with snow in it. Today in Austin, TX it SNOWED!!!! Too bad we couldn't at least get a half day. But is was BEAUTIFUL! I love the snow.

Smith Playground

The kids were so cute and so excited. For most of them, it was their first time to see snow.

A little snow visitor greeted me at home.
Seriously, I love the snow.

Get ready, Get set, Go!

Burke ran his first marathon this weekend in Austin! I am so proud of him!
The pre-race picture....

My walking buddies...Alexis and Ann! We just walked and gossiped about school. That's what 5ks are about right???

26.2 miles! The first thing he wanted to do after running 26.2 miles was have his picture taken. He loves me.

I am so proud of him!

Caden and Gary from the cheer section.
Betsy and Brig ran the half marathon. I love that they take me seriously and will smile for a picture. (Thank you, Betsy.)

The marathon runners!
Celebration Lunch!
And non-marathon related...Burke made me lunch last weekend. I think he looks pretty good in the kitchen. And it was delicious!

My First Grade Valentine

Isn't he adorable?

I love working with these cute kids.

We're old.

So 8:30 rolls around and I start yawning and can barely keep myself awake when I look over and see this...

Burke has hurt his knees running so much so he wraps frozen broccoli from the freezer with my scarves. Seriously...we are old.

On a happy note...I had to test an autistic kid at my school. He makes me laugh. He quoted all of the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Saved me $10. Now I don't have to go see it. But he drew this picture on my board at the end of the day. Notice the hair.

Burke, looks like you have some competition.

A Pilot Kind of New Year's

I got to travel with Burke to Nova Scotia for New Year's. It was so much fun being on the plane he was flying. I got to hear his little pilot speech and he sounded so professional. Can I say I was shocked? It was a bit strange. And he even said a little something sweet about me during his announcements. All the passengers turned to my seat to say hello. He really is so much fun. Here are some pictures from our very, very cold time in Halifax.
