8 Months Old!

Marin....
  • loves her gym class. Whether they are balancing her on a tall ladder or flipping her over a bar, she is always smiling. Loves every minute. Fearless.
  • loves climbing up on the bookshelves and pulling down all the books. Maybe she wants to be a librarian too!?!?
  • loves the printer!!! She will push the buttons and then, of course, climb up on it.
  • can wave now. It's more of a Hitler military salute mixed with a bear claw but we have confirmed that it is a wave and it is adorable! Side story: We went to lunch the other day and enjoyed the weather and ate outside (while the weather is still nice). We were on a busy street so people were walking by quite a bit. And friendly Marin gave each and every passer by a good ol' Hilter/bear claw salute wave. Thankfully, they were all friendly and waved back. Marin was in heaven.
  • is VERY, VERY opinionated when it comes to meal time. She knows exactly what bites she wants and if you don't get it to her mouth fast enough, you could perhaps see a little girl drama. Fun times. But she will try anything once, especially if I take a bite/drink first.
  • loves her Cheerios book. She will put all 300 Cheerios in her mouth at one time if we let her. And the fact that she chokes, gags, and yaks with all 300 doesn't slow her down one bit.
  • loves climbing up the slide and then sliding down....and repeating at least 10 times before we leave the park.
  • will do laps in the bathtub and even put her face down in the water once or twice just to get a drink. :o)
  • loves the double stroller (another yard sale find), but she can sit up and see everything much better in it.
  • loves pushing buttons on the laptop but the "caps lock" key is her favorite because it lights up.
  • loves Wheel of Fortune and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
  • can turn the light switch off.
  • AND has TWO TEETH!!!

We got Marin a "few" books from our local thrift store. Here is a video from this morning of her "reading" one of them.
