Fourth of July
We had a great fourth of July! We went to a new pizza place downtown with some friends. Then we watched fireworks from the Navy Pier. It was fun night but I was exhausted!

15 Weeks
We've hit 15 weeks and I wish I could say the morning/all day sickness is gone. But, it is NOT. In fact, some days I feel like it is worse. But I know the wonderful, energetic, 2nd trimester good times are just around the corner....can't wait. Seriously, can't! wait!
Here is the belly picture which Burke lovingly calls the Porch Pooch. The baby is making a bit of an appearance...

And here is Burke's 15 week picture. I wish I could say he has a porch pooch but he looks fantastic. Jerk.

And for those who are asking, no we are not finding out the gender until the baby is born. I have been wishy washy lately, but Burke is standing firm. I think I can wait. Surprises are more fun!
More Taste of Chicago
Burke and I had some Taste tickets leftover from Friday so we decided to save them until today. The Steve Miller Band was performing today so Burke really wanted to go see them. I, of course, had never heard of him. But I am a music idiot. It was a lot of fun and very, very hot. Unfornately we both are a little red tonight.
Here we are in front of the Buckingham Fountain.

Ok, this guy was probably 17 and his dance moves were hilarious. Now, I can say hilarious because I have zero dancing capabilities....can't even clap on rhythm. I am pathetic in whole different category. But this kid was having the time of his life and his dancing was a mixture of the funky chicken and gangster rapper moves. Very entertaining.

At the concert, people watching was just as much fun as the show.
Here we have Billy Ray Cyrus' Asian cousin. Loved. the. mullet. And there were about two other mullets we tried to sneak pictures of but they kept sitting down. Lots of mullets.

Taste of Chicago
Pre-wedding festivities included the Taste of Chicago! We ate and ate and ate and ate some delicious food!

I was so incredibly excited to see my great friends Amy and Amanda!

I know this picture is lopsided but trust me its the best one of the bunch. My mom, sister, and I often have trouble getting a good photograph of us together. I can't imagine why?!?!?

Stuffed.

Baby's Room Project 1
So we have our home pretty much set up and settled in except for a few boxes here and there and some wedding presents to put away. But the baby's room....well, we still have a few months to get that room together. We did purchase this shelf (for $10..woohoo!). With some paint and TLC we (and when I say "we", I mean Burke) went from this....

to this....

to this.....
I have rearranged the shelf a million times because I can't get things organized quite the way I want. (Yes, Carolyn, I have a problem. But trust me it could be worse. Meet my dad.)

So that is all we have so far, but it is nice to have a place to put a few things. Who knows when we will do anything else to that poor room. Good thing we have some time before December.....
