Family Vacation: The Plane Ride

Our first family vacation was a success! We decided to go to California because I had never been there and it was a flight we could easily get on and it wasn't snowing there. Although, once we got there the temperature dropped and of course, Chicago had record highs while we were gone. Thanks, weather, thanks a lot. But Marin was such a great traveler and we (we being cooped up, cabin fever mommy and Marin) needed some time away! So a big thanks to Burke for giving us some much needed fresh air!
So here are some pictures from the very begininning...the VERY beginning...the plane ride...

The Rocky Mountains

The Grand Canyon

And finally Los Angeles...if you squint you can see the Hollywood sign in the back....

Look...no snow!

And for the first time flyer:
this is how she spent most of the flight...

But then there was some of this....

Happy, sweet 11D passenger!

Reading her new book! She loves those black and white pictures!

Snuggling with Daddy! (Marin was so good we got to watch 2 movies on the plane!!)

And of course a little doodling...
She looks confused as to why I would be taking a picture of her diaper change.

And another nap! I was trying to prop her head up with the rolled up blanket but Burke thinks it makes her look like a nun. Oh well, she is propped up and spiritual. Love her hands in this picture.

Awake and ready to get a bite to eat...

Sneaking a little smile behind her passy...

Hi Stacey, I am Rickey's daughter. He was showing me your blog so I could see Ms. Betty's new grandbaby! CONGRATULATIONS, she is BEAUTIFUL. My daughter was born in July and your mom was over here "Practicing"! I told dad, you are a moma after my own heart, I saw you are a baby wearer! Well, maybe one day we will meet!
