Our little Squirt Turned ONE!

On December 27, 2011,  our little Beluga turned ONE! We can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. But we celebrated Marin from the moment she woke up until the time she went to bed!

Birthday Calls, Outfits, Car trips, and Presents

After a birthday breakfast and morning nap, the birthday girl had more celebrating to do! She had birthday calls to make and a special outfit to wear. :o)

I made her little 1 whale shirt (since she is our Beluga and all).
Of course, if you look closely it looks like a bad home ec project. :o) 

We had plans to go to Shedd Aquarium but the line was out the door and they weren't letting people in for 45 minutes because they were at capacity. We love our little girl, but we weren't waiting in the cold for 45 minutes or longer. So we went to the Field Museum where it was just as crowded but Marin still had fun. We are going to take her to the aquarium once school starts and maybe the crowds die down. She will love seeing all the fish and I can't wait!

Beluga Birthday Dinner

Our power went out so we went out to eat to celebrate our big birthday girl!

She didn't want me to give her a bite. She had to do it ALL BY HERSELF!!

And we had to get some video of her eating spaghetti because it was just too funny!

Birthday Whale Smash Cake!

After dinner, we came home for birthday cake! Marin got her very own cake to smash into and get all messy! She had a blast! Of course, the cake had whale cookies on it!

The whale cookies that were supposed to go on top of the cupcakes.
But they kept disappearing throughout the day.
They were a big hit with a certain Beluga and Beluga daddy.
